Apologies if this has been dealt with elsewhere - I couldn't find an answer!
I connected my Airport Express via Ethernet to the Mac and configured it to use the wireless network in client mode. I then disconnected the ethernet cable, restarted the AX and can confirm that solid green light is shown. However, the Mac is unable to locate it remotely using either Airport Utility or iTunes. My Mac does not have wireless built in and therefore it should be using my Linksys WAG160n router to locate the Airport (the Mac is hard-wired via ethernet to the router).
The problem appeared when I added the new router, though I'm not convinced that this is the issue, because AX is connecting wirelessly to Wifi (hence the green light). I can't see the Airport 'fan' icon in the Apple menu bar and am not sure how I 'tell' my Mac about the wifi network - do I need to add it as a named network??
FYI, in the Network Prefs, I can only see Ethernet and Built-in modem - not sure if this is relevant, but thought I should include for completeness
Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated!!
